Haridwar to Govindghat

Distance Cover: 285 km

Travel Time: 9-10 Hrs

Early morning departure from Haridwar.
Drive through Rishikesh – Devprayag – Rudraprayag – Karnaprayag – Joshimath – Govindghat.
Enjoy the scenic Himalayan journey along the Alaknanda River.
Check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay at Govindghat.

Day 02

Govindghat to Ghangaria

Distance Cover: 14 km

Travel Time: 5 Hrs

Early breakfast and departure for the trek.
Drive up to the current roadhead at Pulna.
Begin the trek towards Ghangaria.
Trek distance is approximately 13 km; the exact walking distance can vary with the current roadhead/access arrangements.
The trail passes through beautiful Himalayan scenery, waterfalls and forested slopes.
Reach Ghangaria and check in.
Evening at leisure for rest and acclimatization.
Overnight stay at Ghangaria.

Ghangaria → Hemkund Sahib → Ghangaria

Distance Cover: 12 Km Trek

Travel Time: 6-7 Hrs

Start early after breakfast for Hemkund Sahib.
Trek approximately 6 km one way from Ghangaria.
The trail is steep and challenging, with a major altitude gain towards Hemkund Sahib.
Visit Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib and the sacred Hemkund Lake.
Pay respects at Lakshman Temple.
Spend some peaceful time at the shrine.
Begin the descent back to Ghangaria.
Overnight stay at Ghangaria.

The journey includes the scenic route to Govindghat, the beautiful trek to Ghangaria, and the challenging uphill trek to the sacred Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, situated beside the serene Hemkund Lake. Along the way, experience the perfect blend of faith, devotion, adventure and Himalayan natural beauty.

Carry good trekking shoes with proper grip.
Keep warm clothes, a raincoat and waterproof bag with you.
Carry essential medicines and personal medication.
Keep a small backpack for the trek rather than carrying heavy luggage.
Carry sufficient cash, as facilities may be limited in remote areas.
Stay hydrated and take adequate breaks during the trek.
Avoid rushing during the climb, especially at higher altitudes.
Carry a valid photo ID.

Hemkund Sahib involves a high-altitude trek.
The final trek to Hemkund Sahib is from Ghangaria and is considerably steep in sections.
The journey is subject to weather, road conditions and local administration regulations.
Any additional stay or transportation will be payable extra.

A 50% advance payment is required to confirm the booking. The remaining 50% balance payment can be made before check-in or at the time of check-in at the hotel.

Booking confirmation is subject to the receipt of the advance payment and availability of the required services.

Prior information on any change in the number of guests or cancellations is mandatory. Majestic Journey reserves the right to levy service/ cancellation charges as per the details below (Booking Amount 10% non-refundable).
